Dr. Lawrence Brooks, Operations Dr. Brooks joined Big Case Marketing in 2009. As founder of Smile-Vision Lab, Dr. Brooks brought a depth of business management experience to the partnership. Using Dr. McAnally’s proven sales approach, he helped create the programs and products that now help more than a thousand dentists achieve greater success in ethically promoting and selling their best services. Both Dr. Brooks and Dr. McAnally consult with dentists directly on their use of The McAnally Selling System™. Dr. Brooks manages the day-to-day operations of the firm, Master Dentists Academy and the Painless Dental Alliance.
A graduate of NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Brooks served in the US Naval Reserve and had private practices in Manchester, New Hampshire, and Netanya, Israel. He was a member of the prosthetics faculty at the University of Tel Aviv Dental School. Both of his practices focused on the low-volume, high-profit fee-for-service model.
In Netanya, Dr. Brooks became frustrated with the difficulties of finding consistent lab results and, therefore, set up an in-office lab to serve the needs of his own practice. His lab ultimately trained technicians for the local technical college. Returning to the United States, Dr. Brooks opened his Boston-based Laboratory Service (renamed Smile-Vision in 2000). The lab focused on cosmetic procedures and the emerging bonded porcelain technique. Dr. Brooks continues to serve as advisor to Smile-Vision.
A sought-after speaker, Dr. Brooks has presented to over 150 dental groups. His practice management articles have been published in Dentistry Today, Dental Products Report, Dental Economics, and Contemporary Esthetics. Dr. Brooks and Smile-Vision have been featured in the Lab industry’s largest publication, Lab Management Today as a Lab of the Month, plus Smile-Vision cases are regularly featured in Dentistry Today.
Amber Macedonio, Program Trainer Amber Macedonio has worked alongside Dr. McAnally for a decade in a variety of roles. She started as a patient care specialist in his private practice and moved to Member Marketing Director and Program Trainer at Big Case Marketing. During Amber’s time as Patient Care Specialist, she successfully presented hundreds of cases alongside Dr. McAnally, which contributed to the unprecedented success of the practice. One of the most valuable assets she developed was learning the psychology to sell complex dental cases and identify the cases to pursue.
As Big Case Marketing’s Program Trainer, Amber’s role involves coaching the proven methodology developed by Dr. McAnally, which includes external marketing, internal funneling, and the ethical selling system and presentation skills required to increase case acceptance with elective cases.
Ann Martin, Administrative Assistant Ann Martin began her career as a Dental Assistant, then moved to Office Manager. After several years in that role, she joined a dental lab to learn waxing and finishing, along with case scheduling. It was while working in the lab that she met Dr. Brooks and subsequently joined the team at Smile-Vision. Ann helps manage the day-to-day operations, addresses members’ technical questions, and fields members’ questions.
