…in a nutshell total bunk, B.S., a waste of time and resources.
The only thing even faintly close to social media that matters to a implant practice doing AOX cases are REVIEWS and PHOTOs of CASES treated that are posted/shown.
When you look at all the types of advertising that we handle as an agency to find 36-100+ AOX cases annually for each client, you’ll find almost no mention of Facebook, Instagram, etc. It’s absence speaks volumes.
What To Focus On Instead
The best use of time, energy, and money is to focus on WHERE patients are actively searching for answers and Google reins supreme. Past google there are still some old school media that matter BUT will depend on availability in the local market as well as the type of targeted implant patient (e.g. Medicare oral surgery implant patient versus fee for service only implant patient).
The only reason to even have a Facebook page as a dental practice is to be able to get reviews posted on Facebook. The untold thousands of hours practices now spend posting and getting likes is a distraction from what’s important. Ditto that for IG.
The Secret To More All-on-X Cases
So….if you’ve been worrying that there’s some “secret” to getting more implant cases that somehow you missed on these “platforms,” you can stop worrying.
The only “secret” is that you are better off spending your money where it matters and where patients are actively looking for answers NOT where they are entertaining themselves playing candy crush.
Feel free to encourage any and all competitors to spend as much money and energy on social media as possible!!
We will be doing the opposite, which is what actually works.
