full-arch cases secretYounger oral surgeons and periodontists get it!

(Occasionally, older ones get wise and also get it!)

In a second, we’ll cover what “it” is all about.

Professions are slow to change. On the whole, this is a good thing.

The most change embracing group in dentistry has traditionally been the GP, especially in dental implants, but that’s no longer the case.  There are some specialists who are now surpassing the GPs with embracing how they can go to the public as the biggest local expert and help far more patients in an ethical manner with full arch implant care.

In fact, ClearChoice’s treaters are mostly specialists and they are literally the national leader in total full arch case volume under one entity.

Getting It with Full-Arch Implant Cases

And… a growing number of young oral surgeons and periodontists now “get it” when it comes to procedures like All-on-X which are mostly an advertising based service. They are getting out of the typical specialist mindset and going to the public to get their full arch cases.

And….a much smaller group of older oral surgeons and periodontists also now “get it” because they have seen the often see then need to change their business model due to the economics of the traditional referral model not working like it used to in some markets.

[By the way, there are referrals to be had for full arch implant cases but they are not from dentists but from a specialty type of medicare provider.  This is a topic we only cover with our members.]

This means these specialists aren’t afraid to advertise this service and do a lot of cases as a consequence.

As an example, the biggest implant restoring practice in the State of Florida is an oral surgery group.  Who would have thunk that back in 1995 or 2005?  NO ONE!

Now as an aside, these guys who are on top in Florida aren’t even that young BUT they have the right mindset.  They also happened to take this training years ago when it was first developed.

Now back to our young surgeons and perio docs or the older more wiser ones…

What Has Changed?

Well, these docs realize that they occupy a unique and powerful position with these cases. After years of observation either before dental school or in practice, they realize they can go directly to the consumer too!  They also don’t have the unfounded fear of losing a referral base based on what they have seen with other specialists who advertise for cases.  Most find that they get even MORE referrals once they become the go-to guy/gal in an market for the All-on-X procedure.

Now…here’s something that is still very cool about “being a specialist.”

While any highly trained and credentialed clinician can be elevated to expert status above others in their market place, there are some built in advantages to having the title “ADA recognized specialist” since that term is in the patient’s lexicon.

If you are in this category of specialist who is seeing the light and you are truly serious about AOX and helping patients with this procedure, you belong with us.
