magic number nine months dental implantsMonth nine in the Full Arch Program is what we call the “momentum” month. It’s a magic month, for sure.

Things start to fire on all cylinders and doctors “disappear” on me because they are too busy to talk.

One of our practices that started 9 months ago recently reported a $200K collection month for their implant cases. World record for this guy AND he has been practicing a long time.  He’s tried a bazillion dental marketing companies (not owned or run by dentists who have ever actually practiced). These non-dentist owned companies have typically scr*wed him over and never really understood what he was up against when it came to having an implant practice inside his regular practice.

Sound Familiar?

It’s been a challenge to keep him focused but by doing so (in his case talking 2-3 times a month so he doesn’t get distracted) we kept our momentum and now he is crushing it. I get my kicks when I see our doctors doing this much good with their patients!

I collected $200K one month in my private practice and that was way way way way before I know what I know now. It was also before I had our team in place to make that number a more predictable reality in other people’s practices with All-on-X.

This magic happens with All-on-X when the synergy of good website content, proven Google PPC ads (still the biggest network of PPC ads for AOX outside of ClearChoice), plus MBA level selling are in place.

We all want things fast, but, ladies and gentlemen, there are no overnight successes.  It will take at least 10 years of training to be a real pro in the implant arena by the time one factors in all the education which means a 9 month timeline to be at another level of business with cases is not a lengthy period by any measurement.

What It Takes

When a doctor in a local market looks at one of our members with this kind of implant practice, they look at what he’s doing and think somehow he got lucky.

Baloney….

It took:

  1. Sound clinical education and dedication to gaining good skills – including the postdoc courses that matter for All-on-X.
  2. Realization that he needed very specialized advertising, a different level of sales training (without gimmicks), and  phone sales training to actually find and be successful at selling these cases month after month. This does all of those things.
  3. Going “whole hog” with the Program – not trying cafeteria style with picking and choosing what he would follow or not follow.
  4. Personal oversight and accountability. We speak routinely even when things are going well. This accountability also translates to the team in weekly sales meetings, OKRs and monthly sales tracker use.

One common problem with too many practice owners is that they want a quick solution and by the time there is some traction happening they have already been distracted by some other ‘shiny’ thing that derails their success.

I’ve been at this long enough that I now have the same recurring conversions with doctors where 3, 5, or even 7 years later it’s the same conversation as last time and the same complaints about the same issues. The one thing that didn’t change was what they were doing!

Madness!

While these types ‘hem and haw,’ why not move to the front of the line?  Why not go big and be at the $200K mark at month 9?!?!

If you are producing at least a million in production at a good margin now and aren’t overly in debt, you can do what this doctor has done.  It’s not magic. It’s a strategic process.

To discuss all of this with Dr. McAnally in a one-on-one consultation session, schedule a time here. (The first session is free!)
